The Marjorie Jaye Fund, an In Memory Fund established by Steve Jaye in tribute to his mother, Marjorie is dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals across Surrey, with a particular focus on children, young people, and older adults.

A Lasting Legacy

As an In Memory Fund, the Marjorie Jaye Fund is a heartfelt way to honour Marjorie's values and commitment to helping others. It ensures that her legacy continues to make a tangible impact on those in need, particularly in areas she would have cared deeply about.

Mission and Focus Areas

The fund provides grants to non-profit organisations and individuals, prioritising initiatives in the following areas:

  • Palliative and Long-Term Care – Offering support and relief to those suffering from long-term or life-limiting illnesses, including funding for palliative care services.

  • Elderly Well-being – Improving the lives of older people through enhanced care services and community engagement activities.

  • Youth Development – Enhancing facilities and services that support the growth and development of children and young people.

Types of Grants

The fund considers applications for:

  • Capital Grants – Funding for tangible assets such as new equipment or facility improvements.

  • Multi-Year Project Grants – Support for specific projects that require sustained funding over multiple years.

Making a Difference

A notable example of the fund's impact is a grant awarded to a local hospice's palliative care unit. This grant facilitated the purchase of two specialist beds, enabling patients to adjust their positioning independently and providing the opportunity to enjoy the hospice's serene garden space.

Through the Marjorie Jaye Fund, CFSurrey is privileged to support meaningful projects that improve lives across Surrey, ensuring Marjorie’s legacy of compassion and generosity lives on.
